Siddheshwar Dham, also known as **Namchi Char Dham**, is a huge park for culture and prayer. It covers about 29 hectares of land on top of a hill. It was built to show the world the beauty of Indian traditions right here in the mountains of Sikkim.

Solophok Hill is a very special place. Local people believe that if you visit this hill even once, all your bad deeds will be washed away and you will feel fresh and clean.
There is an old story from the Mahabharata about this hill. It says that Arjuna came here to pray to Lord Shiva. Shiva came to meet him dressed as a hunter to test how brave and good he was. This temple was built to celebrate that story and to bring people from all over India to South Sikkim.
The Government of Sikkim built this place so that people can see all the famous holy sites of India in just one day, while enjoying the fresh mountain air.

A huge 108-foot tall statue of Lord Shiva sitting in peace. It is very strong and can withstand mountain winds and earthquakes.
We have built smaller versions of the 12 most famous Shiva temples (Jyotirlingas) from all over India in a circle.

You don't need any special papers to enter. Just bring a government ID card like a Voter ID or Driving License for your hotel.
You need a paper called a Restricted Area Permit (RAP). You can get it for free at the Sikkim border when you arrive. Bring your passport and photos.
This place is built for everyone. We have ramps for wheelchairs and small electric cars to take elders from one temple to another so nobody has to walk too much.

It is very cold but the views are very sharp and clear. Wear heavy woolens!

Lots of rain and mist. Roads can be slippery. Not the best time to visit.
