The Story

The Magic of Solophok Hill

Solophok Hill is a very special place. Local people believe that if you visit this hill even once, all your bad deeds will be washed away and you will feel fresh and clean.

There is an old story from the Mahabharata about this hill. It says that Arjuna came here to pray to Lord Shiva. Shiva came to meet him dressed as a hunter to test how brave and good he was. This temple was built to celebrate that story and to bring people from all over India to South Sikkim.

A Gift for Everyone

The Government of Sikkim built this place so that people can see all the famous holy sites of India in just one day, while enjoying the fresh mountain air.
